Big 5 Safari South Africa Details

Our full day safari starts in Cape Town and then heads off towards the charming Karoo of South Africa. Experience the Big 5 of Africa (lion, leopard, rhinoceros, elephant, and Cape buffalo), just a short drive from the Mother City. Our Big 5 Safari Tour offers all in a one-day wildlife excursion.

The reserve is perfectly situated in the Western Cape which eliminates the risk of malaria!

We’ll collect you from your accommodation for an early morning start on an exciting day of adventure touring with you.

A one day safari is the perfect addition to your African adventure, which can be conveniently slotted into any itinerary. Enjoy views of the Cape’s most stunning fauna & flora on a trip with our informed ranger to answer all you questions.

Book an extended stay for one or two nights and increase your chances of seeing the infamous night hunters – leopards! In the game farm is a resident cheetah centre you can visit subject to a charge. Regrettably, we do not frequent the cheetah centre on our day trips. We also offer a cost-effective self-drive option, which could mean sizeable savings for families and big groups.

Along the RouteThe Klein (Little) Karoo of the Western Cape

The true character of the Western Cape can be found in the Klein Karoo, a semidesert region in South Africa. Encompassed by the Swartberg to the North, and on the notable Langeberg and Outeniqua mountains to the South, this area is rich with arts, crafts and culture.

Europeans first settled the area late into the 17th century when they came across the indigenous Khoisan people whom thrived in this dry area. Now, a network of farming communities and infamous as one of the most popular travel destinations in the Cape. The Karoo is home to several charming little towns namely: Ladismith, Calitzdorp, De Rust, Zoar, Amalienstein, Barrydale, Dysselsdorp and Ceres. Although a real treat not trip would be complete without a visit to the Inverdoorn Reserve!
