We offer you a deeper look into the people of the Cape and their daily lives, cultural traditions and challenges on our township tours in Cape Town. Our adventure starts at the renowned District Six museum where you will gain insight into the rich history of South Africa. Thereafter we head to Mother City’s oldest (Langa) and largest (Khayelitsha) townships.
The trip includes a visit to a local school where you will meet the children of the area and experience their education first-hand, as well as a stop at the shebeen (pub) to try some proudly South African beer (optional).
During your visit you’ll receive the chance to talk to some of the local entrepreneurs and hear them speak of life in the township as well as the thriving community and enterprise! They will offer you beautiful handcrafted art created from their surroundings and resourcefulness. A purchase of such a trinket, has the power to help entire families survive and ignite the spark of hope. On the Sunday morning trips you will also attend a charismatic church service.

The vibrant community of District Six lives on, growing and rebuilding through the new generations. Learn of the devastation from the past and experience our hope for the future of Cape Town in a restored church which is now the District Six Museum.
Known for being the fastest growing township in South Africa, Khayelitsha meaning ‘new home’ is just that. A place of refuge for those removed from their homes. Their homes are made from poorly corrugated iron huts that have no water supply, lavatories or other facility’s which we take for granted – daily.
Welcome to the oldest township in South Africa, Langa. Meet the inviting people whom will surely charm you with their warmth! We’ll take you on an adventure of discovery and culture as we embark on the townships tours.
Many people from all parts of Africa come to the Mother City in hopes of finding happiness here, which in turn increases the population of the townships. Still, they are friendly and welcome all visitors regardless of their circumstances. Try South African traditional beer, shop for the perfect gift and on Sunday’s join the charismatic church service while on our township tour.
